Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch is a residential community open to at-risk children ages 5 to 18. This community is an entire community built to surround children from across the nation with nurturing support and structure through healthy relationships. Most young people reside at Boys Ranch for about two years while others require longer stays in order to achieve successful reunification with their families. Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch provides a safe environment for children to build meaningful, trusting relationships with house parents, caseworkers, and other adult mentors as they complete their individual therapeutic plans.

Services are provided by Central Plains Center to persons residing in Bailey, Briscoe, Castro, Floyd, Hale, Lamb, Motley, Parmer, and Swisher counties of the Texas panhandle. Central Plains Center offers mental health services including case management and skills training for adults, children, and adolescents through inpatient and outpatient care. Early childhood intervention, substance abuse, and crisis interventions are among the specialties provided.

The High Plains Children’s Home and Family Services serves a target area of the Texas Panhandle, northeastern New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Kansas. Working with children and families from all walks of life, the organization is committed to helping them develop the skills that will be needed to be healthy, productive, and happy members of society. HPCH provides transitional and permanent living arrangements for children ages 5 to 17 years of age whose families are in distress and for those who are referred by church, school personnel and county and state entities. Others served by the family services side of the organization include children and adults with special needs whoare orphaned, neglected, abused, dependent, underprivileged or otherwise taken advantage of.

Swisher Briscoe is a Shared service Arrangement for Special Education Services for Tulia ISD, Happy ISD, Kress ISD, and Silverton ISD. Swisher Briscoe SSA provides services through diagnosticians, behavior specialists, transition coordinator and speech-language pathologists. Their focus is on student success through encouraging academic skills and fostering social and emotional development, believing that all students can learn and grow in natural and inclusive environments with non-disabled peers.

The DFPS provides protection for children, the elderly, and people with disabilities from abuse, neglect, and exploitation. Their goal is to work with families and communities to serve clients in a manner that is most beneficial for each individual. They provide family-based and faith-based services when possible so that clients are able to stay in situations that are most familiar and normal for them. Working with county child welfare boards, DFPS provides clothing, education, and extracurricular opportunities to the students in their custody.

The pavilion provides mental health treatment to children, adolescents, adults, and seniors from Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Kansas and Colorado. Inpatient and outpatient services are provided with confidentiality, professionalism and compassion for those dealing with long and short-term mental illness. Areas of expertise include suicidal ideation and attempts, depression, aggression and anger management, schizophrenia, drug and alcohol detoxification and rehabilitation, Post Traumatic Stress, and medication management in a hospital setting.
