The Subscriptions page shows all your organization's purchased subscriptions to Connected Forest® apps. An Administrator user can add a subscription to an app by purchasing the required number of subscriptions online and assigning each subscription to a specific organization user. Subscriptions can also be added by a Trimble Administrator.
The Subscriptions page can also be used to obtain subscriptions to apps that are free of charge.
Subscriptions work on a per-user basis, so the Subscriptions grid shows the assigned user, expiration date, and duration of each individual subscription. For example, if your organization has purchased subscriptions for 50 users to a particular app, the grid displays all 50 subscriptions. The Assignee column is blank for subscriptions that have not yet been assigned to anyone (by default, these are displayed at the top of the list).
On the Subscriptions page, you can:
view and search your organization's subscriptions
purchase new subscriptions (including subscriptions that are free of charge)
assign and re-assign subscriptions to users
unassign subscriptions
export subscription data to Microsoft Excel or CSV format files.
On the Subscriptions page, the following tools are available in the toolbar:
Find
Export
Purchase Subscriptions
Find - If you enter a search term in the Find field on the top-left corner of the page, the grid content is filtered to only display subscriptions that match your search. You can search for a particular user, for example. You can clear the search field by clicking the X button.
Export - Exports all data in the grid to the file format of your choice (Excel XLSX, CSV). You can select the export format from the menu that opens. For more information, see Exporting Data.
Purchase Subscriptions - Can be used to purchase new app subscriptions for your organization (including subscriptions that are free of charge). Clicking the button opens a window in which you can select the subscription, and for paid subscriptions proceed to payment. The purchase functionality is also used to extend existing subscription(s) by purchasing new subscription(s) and then assigning subscription(s) to user(s).
The toolbar also contains the following checkboxes:
Show only records for - When this option is selected, the grid only displays subscriptions for the organization you selected when you signed in. If you are an administrator in more than one organization, deselecting this checkbox refreshes the grid to display subscriptions for all your organizations. By default, this option is selected.
Show expired/unavailable subscriptions - When this option is selected, expired and unavailable subscriptions are also shown on the list. By default, this option is not selected.
Show only upcoming renewals - When this option is selected, the grid only displays subscriptions that will expire in the next 30 days. If a user's subscription is about to expire, see if there is a subscription with a later expiry date that can be assigned to the user (if there is no subscription available, you will have to purchase a new subscription).
There are two types of app subscriptions:
Trial subscriptions
A trial subscription is generated when you register a new organization account using the Register a new organization account link on the Sign In page. A trial subscription gives fully functional access to certain apps. Each trial subscription is valid for one month and includes subscriptions for three users. The Administrator who completes the registration is the assignee for the first subscription and can assign the remaining two subscriptions to other users on the Subscriptions page.
Before the trial period ends, the trial subscriptions can be replaced by as many standard subscriptions as needed using the Purchase Subscriptions toolbar button on the Subscriptions page.
Standard subscriptions
You can purchase a standard subscription for as many user accounts as you require. Depending on your selection, a standard subscription can be valid for three months or one year.
The subscriptions that are available vary by region. If you need more information about a particular subscription, click the Purchase Subscriptions toolbar button on the Subscriptions page and select the subscription; a description of the subscription is displayed on the page. You can cancel the purchase if appropriate by clicking the CANCEL button.
When registering a new organization for a free app, new subscriptions are automatically created as standard subscriptions.
Subscriptions of both types are shown in the Subscriptions grid.
Subscriptions work on a per-user basis, so your organization needs as many subscriptions as there are users for each app. When you purchase a subscription, you must select how many users you need subscriptions for and, after the purchase, assign each subscription to a user. The subscriptions are not functional until they have been assigned to a user.
Subscriptions can be purchased by one organization and assigned to users in a different organization, provided that a relationship between the two organizations has been defined by Trimble. For example, a forestry company might purchase CFXchange subscriptions and make them available to their service providers (haulers, harvesters, etc.).
You can purchase different types of standard subscriptions for different users. In addition to standard subscriptions, there are trial subscriptions that are valid for one month, and these are also shown on the Subscriptions page.
You can also use the Purchase Subscriptions functionality to obtain subscriptions to apps that are free of charge. For apps like this, the purchase price is 0.00 USD, and no credit card or purchase order is required.
To purchase a subscription:
On the Subscriptions page, click the Purchase Subscriptions button on the top-right corner of the page.
The Purchase Subscriptions window opens.
Using the Subscription dropdown list, select the app to which you want to subscribe.
To view more information the available apps, you can select an app from the list, and a description of the selected app displays to the right.
Using the Duration dropdown list, select the subscription period.
This determines for how long the subscription is valid, in calendar months. The duration is calculated from the purchase date.
Enter the number of subscriptions you need in the Quantity box.
Enter as many subscriptions as there are users of this app.
The price details on the right are updated to match the selections you made. Tax information is shown if applicable.
Note that, for free apps, the allowed number of subscriptions may be restricted for some apps and may vary by region.
If a referral is applicable, select the dealer who provided the referral using the Referrer dropdown list.
If a referral is not applicable, you can leave the default option Connected Forest Website selected.

When you have reviewed the subscription details, click one of the following buttons to proceed.
Click the PAY ONLINE button to pay using a credit card, or click the PAY BY PO button to pay using a Purchase Order (only one of these buttons will be offered).
The PAY ONLINE button is only available if the Total is less than 10,000 and your organization has been designated by Trimble as an ONLINE purchaser.
Click OK to obtain a subscription to a free app.
For a paid subscription, complete the purchase in one of the following ways:
If paying by credit card, enter/confirm the Billing Information and Payment Details, and click PAY.
If paying by a Purchase Order, on the Pay by Purchase Order page, enter the details and click CONFIRM PURCHASE. Values are required for all fields with the exception of the Note field.
The address details default from the User Administration > Organizations page, so if the details are incomplete or incorrect, it is recommended to update them there to streamline the purchase process.
After a successful purchase, a confirmation message is displayed. You will also receive a confirmation email that includes a receipt of the purchase in the email message.
Each purchased subscription shows in the subscriptions grid as a separate row. You must assign each subscription to a user. For more information, see Assigning Subscriptions to Users below.
Each purchased subscription must be assigned to a user to make it usable. A valid subscription that is not assigned to a user is not in use.
A subscription is not permanently tied to the assignee you originally selected. You can re-assign a subscription to a different user, and the process is essentially the same.
Note: You can only assign a subscription to a user who already exists in the system and has the required access rights. If necessary, create the required user accounts before assigning subscriptions. For instructions on adding users, see Users.
To assign or re-assign a subscription to a user:
Locate the subscription you want to assign or re-assign in the Subscriptions grid.
Note: Only subscriptions marked as Available can be edited. If there are subscriptions marked as unavailable that you believe should be available, please contact Trimble support.
Click the row Edit (pencil) icon.
The record opens for editing.
If the Assignee belongs to a different organization, click open the Organization dropdown list select the user's organization from the list.
If the organization is not available in the list, please contact Trimble support.
Click open the Assignee dropdown list and select the user to whom you want to assign or re-assign the subscription.
Click the SAVE button to save changes and close the Subscription window.
The subscription is assigned to the selected user. The next time the user signs in, the apps included in the subscription are automatically enabled on the Apps page.
If the subscription was previously assigned to a different user, that user can no longer access the app.
An assigned subscription does not activate until the assigned user signs in. Activation updates the date in the Activated column in the Subscriptions grid. The expiration date displayed in the Expires column is determined by the purchase date and the duration of the subscription defined by the Administrator when purchasing the subscription.
You can unassign a subscription that was previously assigned to a user. Unassigning a subscription frees it for re-assignment later.
To unassign a subscription:
Locate the subscription in the Subscriptions grid (for example, by searching for the user).
Click the row Edit (pencil) icon.
The record opens for editing.
Click open the Assignee dropdown list and select Select at the top of the list.
Leaving the field blank leaves the subscription unassigned.
Click SAVE to save changes and close the Subscription window.
The subscription is updated, and the original user can no longer access the app.
The process of extending a subscription is essentially the same as purchasing a subscription. Before the existing subscription expires, you must make a new subscription purchase (selecting as many new subscriptions as you need) and assign the new subscriptions to each user. For more detailed instructions, see Purchasing Subscriptions above.
It is not possible to extend a subscription by editing an existing subscription row in the subscriptions grid.
