We visited the amazing medieval places we have learned about during this PBL. We kept a journal with important details and reflection.We had a drawing competition and a photo competition with clear criteria. We also had time to connect, to relax and a lot of fun.

Each group is split in 3, on houses, and work on 3 topics: fortress, caste, fortified church.They study the same touristic attraction for the whole year, from the point of view of different subjects:
History - historical background in Romania and in the world / Europe; comparison with other similar building in other parts of the world
Art - architecture, artistic periods, fashion, paintings, decorations, textile, tapestry etc.
Geography - landscape, landforms, economic development in the area, transportation of resources to build etc.
Computers / IT - Design and 3D printing

RB-G6 and RB -Y7 (2 teams) do the same project: fortress - ex. Cetatea Câlnic
GE-G6 and GE-Y7 (2 teams) do the same project: castle - ex: Castelul Templul Cavalerilor
BW-G6 and BW-Y7 (2 teams) do the same project: monastery - ex: Mănăstirea Cisterciană
Trip to Sibiu - visit the 3 places (also Alba Carolina, Sibiu fortress, Cisnadioara Fortified church are on the way...) - spring 2025
The students work in teams of 6 or 7:
research, draw, prepare slides, compare with other historical / geographical, related to the content they study in G6 Y7 in these subjects
prepare a presentation and a 3D about their fortress / castle / church
flyers for the tourist info centre / a blog / google site / .... for the tourists...
languages: working on and translating the info for flyers / blog / google site ....
presentation to the parents / community - May / June
The house groups will present to each other and give feedback, as part of the process - testing and improving the final product (April / May or any time during the process)
Skills we develop: teamwork, collaboration, decision making, problem solving, critical & creative thinking, leadership, research, data analysis, design thinking etc.
