🥾 Duke of Edinburgh SILVER Practice Trip - Hiking
Who: Y11 students: 1.Luca Briciu, 2.Briana Timari, 3.Alexia Gorgan, 4.Erna Balasa, 5.Alexander Costoiu, 6.Filip Gromic
Teachers: Ms. Daniel Hernadez & Ms. Mihaela Romaniuc
When: 23-24 June, Via Transilvanica, Sections Medias - Bazna - Copsa Mica
Purpose: This Practice trip focused on team building, helps participants develop teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills while navigating, camping, and working together over 2 days, all necessary for their qualifying expedition.

When: 12 June, Belis Lake
🛶 From Hiking to Kayaking – A New Step Toward Autonomy and Confidence
👧👧👧 Our team of six girls, dared to step out of the hiking trail zone and explore a new horizon: kayaking.
📏 Around 18 km of paddling on a mountain lake.
💪 A day dedicated to endurance, movement technique, and adapting to a new type of equipment.
🎓 Valuable lessons in coordination, sustained effort, and teamwork.
🌟 (The true achievement was in the courage to try something new, the perseverance to keep going, and the joy of succeeding together.)
🚣♀️ With every paddle stroke, the girls gained more confidence, resilience, and courage.
📈 We continue to grow, step by step – or paddle by paddle.
🏆 The Duke of Edinburgh Award is not just a program – it's a journey of personal development, where young people discover what they can achieve when they dare.
🙏 A big thank you to the instructors @Daniela Ganea and @Virgil Ganea for their guidance and patience, to the parents for their trust, and most of all, to the girls – for their ambition, team spirit, and courage to keep going, even when the path is no longer on dry land.

🥾Duke of Edinburgh GOLD TEST Trip
Who: Y12 students: Matei Grigorovici, Sara Pop, Aurora Capuano, Catrinel Precup
Teachers: Ms. Daniela Ganea & Ms. Alexandra Oana
When: 25-29 May
Purpose: The students will travel Via Transilvanica along four sections of Terra Dacica Route (Sarmisegetuza Regia - Sarmisegetuza Ulpia Traiana), under the request of DoE Adventure Program, planning and completing a self-sufficient, multi-day hike, navigating a set route as a team, and working toward a shared aim - remotely monitored by the two assesors.

Purpose: The students develop and refine the skills necessary for their qualifying expeditions. These trips are integral to the DofE experience, providing a hands-on opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world settings.
Information covered:
Route Planning & Navigation: Using maps and compasses to chart a course through unfamiliar terrain.
Teamwork & Leadership: Collaborating with peers to manage tasks and make decisions collectively.
Campcraft: Setting up tents, cooking meals, and maintaining hygiene in outdoor settings.
Self-Sufficiency: Carrying all necessary equipment and supplies, including food and water.

Who: DofE enroled students from Y10
Teachers: Virgil Ganea & Ms. Irina Simion
When: 6-7 May
Purpose: The students were offered a training trip under the request of DoE Adventure Program
