We are happy to promote this amazing project: International Mother Earth Day, organised by Creation Village World School in USA, member of the International Schools Association.
General goal: to engage participants in activities that promote sustainability and environmental awareness, focusing on themes of water conservation, environmental education, and collaboration among students. We align our efforts with key United Nations Sustainable
Development Goals (SDGs), specifically:
SDG 13: Climate Action
SDG 15: Life on Land
SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation
SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production
These SDGs underscore the importance of collective action to combat climate change, protect ecosystems, ensure clean water, and foster sustainable practices worldwide.
How to Participate:
Attend Discussion Sessions: Participate in discussions where students and educators can share their insights on the UN SDGs, the impact of climate change, and what they are doing locally to protect the environment.
Participate in Nature Walks and Cleanup Activities: Take part in virtual and on-site nature walks, where you will learn about local ecosystems and environmental issues. Cleaning up local parks, beaches, or school grounds is a practical way to engage in stewardship.
Collaborate Globally: Engage with other students from different parts of the world in virtual projects. Share your country’s efforts in conservation and water protection, and learn from others’ experiences.
Submit a Creative photography art work, or drawing capturing powerful images related to water, nature, or the environment. Think about your surroundings and how you can reflect on the beauty or the challenges related to the Earth. Please submit your work here and it will be shared with the organizers.
We are delighted to inform you a global initiative “Mini 30x30 Challenge | A students' wave for the ocean”, coordinated by Oceanário de Lisboa and Oceano Azul Foundation.
It aims for a global mobilisation of students aged 4 to 18 in many countries to defend the importance of achieving the United Nations' goal of protecting 30% of the oceans by 2030 (30x30 global target) through the creation of Marine Protected Areas.
Students will learn, vote on what they think is most important and subscribe an Open Letter to the United Nations (UN), which will be delivered to the UN during the 3rd United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC3) in Nice in June.
The initiative's website, Mini 30×30, is available in four different languages: English, Portuguese, French and Spanish.
It includes a number of educational resources that can be used by teachers and students (animated video, presentation on the UN Ocean Conference and the importance of marine protected areas, teacher's guide with suggestions for practical activities, etc.).
Webinars for teachers are planned to explain the initiative in four different languages. Info: https://students4ocean.com/#themini30x30

The Foundation for Environmental Educational (FEE) invite schools and students to take part in the Global Action Days 2025 campaign, an inspiring (and award-winning) worldwide campaign starting on 22nd April, supported by Earthday.org. This is a great chance to be part of something truly impactful as the goal is to unite over 1 million participants to take part in five actions to help protect our planet’s ecosystems and create a new #RestorationGeneration.
Whether you are a confident environmental educator or only just starting your green journey, you don’t need to be an eco-expert to take part! The campaign is designed to be inclusive and easy to implement in a busy school setting, with a ready-to-use Activity Guide to help teachers embed the campaign in their lesson plans and schemes of work. Plus, there are follow-up activities to keep the momentum going beyond the campaign that can all be included in any future environmental accreditation such as the Eco-Schools Green Flag award also run by FEE.
By joining, schools will:
Allow your students to be active global citizens
Inspire critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Be part of a worldwide movement making real change
Encourage family involvement, with a special weekend activity for parents and grandparents!
This is more than just an environmental initiative—it's an opportunity to spark curiosity and embed a lifelong desire in your students to protect our planet.

The Application has to be submitted by January 31st, 2025. And the final video at the end of July 2025.The winners will be announced in August 2025.

UNESCO Global Geoparks (UGGp) are areas of international geological significance managed through protection, education, and sustainable development. Currently, there are 213 UGGps in 48 countries.
Discovering UNESCO Global Geopark Sites is a collaborative STEAM project involving several ISA schools. Each school will form a team of students guided by a teacher. The process begins with the school selecting a theme related to UNESCO Global Geoparks that they wish to research. As the project unfolds, students within each school team will delve into their selected themes, conducting research and critical analysis, and using a collaborative online platform to share their findings and ideas with other schools.
Their collective efforts will culminate in the creation of an argumentative essays or other forms of presentation based on their own observations, research, and/or experiments, showcasing their expertise in their respective areas of exploration. At the end of the project, the work from each school will be unified into one, to be presented at the University of Aegean on Lesvos Island (Greece) by April 2025, highlighting insights gained and contributions to UNESCO Geopark heritage preservation.
