Welcome to Photo Recovery: Phone Cleaner ("Application" or "We"), developed by TQC Solution. This Privacy Policy is designed to help you understand how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal information when you access our Services through this application. By using the Application, you agree to the terms described in this Privacy Policy.
We automatically collect certain technical information from your Android device, including:
Type and model of your mobile device
IP address of your mobile device
Unique device identifiers (e.g., Android ID, Device ID)
Mobile operating system (OS) version and name
Google Advertising ID (GAID)
Screen resolution, screen density, width and height
Network status (Wi-Fi, mobile data)
Carrier country and carrier name
System language and time zone
We collect information about how you interact with the Application, including:
Clicks and navigation within the app
Pages viewed and the order of those pages
Time spent on particular features
Date and time of your requests
Number of times the app is opened
Whether features are running normally (e.g., whether a scan completes successfully)
Application name, version number, build, SDK name and SDK version
Depending on the feature you use, we handle your media files as follows:
Features processed LOCALLY on your device (data never uploaded to our servers):
Photo Recovery – scans and recovers deleted photos
Video Recovery – scans and recovers deleted videos
Document Recovery – scans and recovers deleted documents
Features that may upload data to our servers for AI-powered processing:
Duplicate Photo Detection – photo thumbnail data may be processed server-side to identify duplicates
Review Screenshot – screenshot images may be analysed server-side
Large Video Analysis – video metadata and thumbnails may be processed server-side
Phone Cleaner – file metadata may be analysed server-side to optimise cleanup recommendations
For all server-side features, data is transmitted securely (HTTPS/TLS), used solely to provide the requested service, and not retained beyond the time necessary to complete the processing. We will never sell, share, or use your media files for any purpose other than delivering the feature you requested.
Android 5.1 – 10: We request READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE and WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permissions to scan your device for files and save recovered files. We will not automatically modify or delete any content in your local storage.
Android 11 and above: We request MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (All Files Access) to scan and recover files. This permission is used solely for scanning files on your device or saving recovered files to your device. We will not obtain, collect, automatically modify, or delete any video, photos, audio, or other files without your explicit action.
When you send feedback via email or submit an error report, we collect your username, email address, and the content of your message. This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry.
Our Services are not directed to anyone under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately. Upon notification, we will promptly delete all such information from our servers.
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
To provide, operate, and maintain the Application and its features
To recover and process files as requested by you
To analyse app performance, diagnose issues, and improve service quality
To personalise your experience and provide language/location customisation
To display relevant advertisements through our third-party advertising partners
To measure and improve the effectiveness of advertising and marketing activities
To respond to your support requests or feedback
To comply with applicable legal obligations
Third-party service providers may use data to improve their advertising and measurement systems. You can opt out of personalised ads in your device settings (Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalisation).
We integrate the following third-party SDKs. Each provider's privacy policy governs their use of data:

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:
Service Providers: We share data with trusted vendors (e.g., analytics, advertising) who process it on our behalf and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law or in response to a valid request from a public authority (e.g., a court order or government agency).
Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred. We will provide notice before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
We will not transfer your personal information to other organisations or countries unless adequate data protection controls are in place.
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to provide our Services, or as required by applicable laws (e.g., accounting or tax regulations). For server-side AI processing features, uploaded media data is deleted from our servers as soon as processing is complete.
We implement commercially reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You have the right to withdraw consent where you have previously given consent to the processing of your information or permissions. You may revoke app permissions at any time via your Android device settings.
You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you and to request corrections where the information is inaccurate.
Most of your data is stored only on your device while you use the Application. To delete local data, clear the app cache via Settings > Apps > Photo Recovery: Phone Cleaner > Clear Cache. To request deletion of any contact information you submitted to us, email developer@tqcsolution.com.
We will never sell your personal information for commercial purposes. However, our third-party advertising partners may use technology that constitutes a "sale" under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). You may opt out at any time via your device’s ad personalisation settings.
Our Application does not track your browsing activity across third-party websites. Some third-party services integrated into our Application may track activity. You can configure your device browser settings to limit tracking on those sites.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to data portability and the right to object to processing. To exercise these rights, please contact us at developer@tqcsolution.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
The Application may contain links to third-party websites or services. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites. We strongly advise you to review the privacy policy of any third-party site you visit.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the Application or on our listing page. Changes are effective immediately upon posting. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
