Class hours/staff office hours/class cancellation/student ID card

Class hours / Staff office hours (during a semester)

Please note that the office in charge varies depending on each graduate school.

Since the staff office hours are subject to change depending on the time of year, so please check them here (Campus entry hours・class hours・office hours).

When taking courses on both Hakusan Campus and Akabanedai Campus

Students cannot take courses offered in consecutive periods on Hakusan Campus and Akabanedai Campus, excluding the lunch break, because it takes more than 30 minutes to move between both campuses. If you need to travel between Hakusan Campus and Akabanedai Campus on the same day, refer to the following table and make a class timetable that allows you to take the courses.

Class cancellation

1, Cancellation of classes etc.

Information on class cancellation is announced on class cancellation boards and is available on ToyoNet-G. Make sure to check information on class cancellation before the relevant class starts.

Telephone inquiries on class cancellation are not accepted. When classes are not conducted without a notification of class cancellation on class cancellation boards or other places, contact the office in charge of education affairs on the relevant campus.

2, Handling of classes when public transportation is expected to be disrupted due to an approaching typhoon, etc.:

  1. For the handling of classes when public transportation is expected to be disrupted due to an approaching typhoon or other reasons, and when public transportation is suspended due to a typhoon, an earthquake, or other natural disasters (excluding when it is temporarily suspended due to an accident resulting in injury or death, or other reasons), follow the instructions issued by the university, which are offered through the university’s website and official Toyo University Twitter. When public transportation is expected to be disrupted on the day, the information is announced on on-campus bulletin boards as well as over the air to all campuses.

  2. When a large-scale earthquake is expected to occur or a warning is issued, follow the instructions issued by the university, on the university’s website and official Toyo University Twitter. When a warning is issued on the day, such information is announced on on-campus bulletin boards and is urgently announced over the air to all campuses.

* These measures described above apply to lecture meetings and a course of lectures provided on campus.

Student ID card

Students are required to carry their student ID card at all times with them and present it when faculty members ask them to do so.

They are not allowed to lend or transfer it to others. Without their student ID card, they cannot purchase commuter passes, use the university’s libraries, or receive school certificates, student discount for public transportations and other certificates. If they should lose their student ID card, they are required to immediately contact the office in charge to carry out procedures to reissue the card (for a charge).
