Credits and other completion requirements

Students must take a “Special Lecture on Regional Development Studies” course offered by their academic supervisor in each semester.

Course requirements

  1. Students must determine which courses to take according to instructions from their supervisors.

  2. A total of 2 supervisors must be chosen: 1 academic supervisor and 1 co-supervisor. However, 2 co-supervisors may be chosen at the discretion of their main academic supervisor.

  3. In principle, students must take the “Specialized Research on Regional Development Studies I to VI” courses offered by their academic supervisor, in this order, taking one of the courses in each semester.

  4. In addition to the courses listed in the above table, students are allowed to take courses offered by other graduate schools and courses of Toyo University and by other universities (partner universities), when their academic supervisors consider this necessary for education and research purposes.

* In this Course, we encourage participation and presentation in overseas surveys, researches and academic conferences as part of research advising in order to deepen students’ own researches.
