Maximum period of enrollment at the Faculty of Global and Regional Studies:
Eight years (except for leave of absence period)
Graduation requirements are the requirements students must meet to graduate from the University.
Students must meet all of the following requirements to graduate from the University (Article 53 of the Academic Rules and Regulations).
(1) 修業年限以上在学すること。(Students must be enrolled for at least the prescribed "Period of study".)
(2) 各学部が定める卒業に必要な要件を充足していること。(Students must meet the graduation requirements specified by each department.)
💡Please check here (*Clicking will take you to the “Curriculum” page.) for the graduation requirements for each faculty, department, and course.
“Expected to graduate” refers to a situation in which a student may possibly meet the graduation requirements. Specifically, it means the student has attended the University for six semesters or more (excluding leave of absence), obtained at least 76 credits, and may obtain the required number of credits in the remaining year (two semesters). However, even if the student is expected to graduate, he/she cannot actually graduate unless the credits necessary to satisfy all graduation requirements are obtained.
Note: A Certificate of Expected Graduation can be issued in and after the fourth year (the seventh semester) only for students expected to meet the graduation requirements.
The Faculty Council holds a meeting to determine if each student is eligible for graduation by checking whether he/she meets all of the faculty/department graduation requirements. Students who have obtained the required number of credits for graduation and those eligible for graduation will be announced via ToyoNet-G. Please check here (*Clicking will take you to the “Examinations and Papers” page.) for details on graduation make-up exams.
Academic degrees will be awarded to students who have met all established graduation requirements.
