You don't have to have a job title to be able to practise or demonstrate your leadership skills. You can present in a lesson, deliver an assembly, run a charity event, volunteer to represent the school at Open Days and Open Evenings and run or take part in choirs, orchestras and sports.
Not everyone wants to apply for a leadership role but we all deserve to be heard and have the opportunity to make a difference. There will be changes that you as a student would wish to see in the way that the school is run that may not always be obvious to staff and need that student perspective. We also need to ensure that we react in the right way as a community to external events (for example, Black Lives Matter and Everyone's Invited, to name just a couple).
As well as the standard leadership roles that this website has described for you, we want students who may not wish to apply for these roles or who may feel underrepresented within the community to have their input into how the school is run and improvements we can make.
