Each house is led by two Senior House Captains in Year 12. Year 12 form prefects also attend lower school registration sessions.

School issues are discussed frequently in the House Council.

Each house group elects its own House Captain, Vice House Captain, Games Captain, Vice Games Captain, Global Leader, Assembly Representative and Kindness Representative.

House group responsibilities

House Councillors

The House Council provide a supportive forum for expressing student voice. Councillors will represent their tutor group and raise awareness of issues which are discussed at House Council to work towards solutions. They will then feedback to their tutor group and pioneer positive change in school life to support the school's vision: "From here it's possible". There is normally one student per form, however this might be flexible.

"Not only do you gain valuable skills such as time management and commitment by taking up a leadership position in Townley, but you also have the opportunity to actively represent other students and be a voice of change. I would strongly recommend applying for house captain as it has allowed me to fulfil my goal of spreading more positivity within our house of Aphrodite and the school community."

"Being one of the House Captains of Hera has been an amazing experience this year, I have had so much fun organising events, trying to raise money for charities and interacting with other year groups. It is a great opportunity to make an difference in school and be a role model to help and guide others in the school and I have loved every minute of it."
