YES Waiver
Harris Center offers another level of support for students who exhibit more intense behaviors, who have serious functional impairment, or acute sever psychiatric symptoms as indicated by:
Risk of Self-Harm
Disruptive or Aggressive Behavior
Family Resources
School Behavior
Current Diagnosis
With YES Waiver, the family/caregiver/parent has to call the access link; school staff are unable to make the referral for them but can assist by having parent meet at campus and dial the number for them and help walk them through.
They service individuals aged 3-18 (if student is 18 can continue until a couple months before 19 and they help to transition to adult services). For general education students and students with disabilities.
YES Waiver is a Medicaid funded program but some families may qualify with a Special Waiver. There is no waitlist at this time - if families call and qualify, they would be seen immediately. Intake is quicker over zoom or phone.
