2023 Annual Business Meeting

<The purpose of this email is to explain in Japanese how to exercise the voting rights at the Annual Business Meeting at the 2023 World Convention, which has already been announced in English by Toastmasters International via email and on its website. Links to the relevant web pages are listed at the bottom of the email for you.>

クラブ会長の皆さん

8月16 - 19日にかけて、2023 International Convention (世界大会) がバハマの首都ナッソーで開催されます。教育セッション、講演、スピーチコンテストのワールドチャンピオンシップや国際本部役員の選挙など、様ざまなイベントが行われます。多くがオンラインでも参加できますので、ぜひクラブ内で共有をお願いします。下の特設ウェブサイトをご確認の上、お申し込みください。

このメールでは、世界大会のイベントのうち「Annual Business Meeting (年次ビジネスミーティング) における投票権の行使」についてご案内します。すでに Toastmasters International からメールとホームページで案内されている内容を日本語で補足することが目的です。

<< 2023 Annual Business Meeting は8月18日7～11時（日本時間18日20～24時）開催 >>

Annual Business Meeting で投票権を行使することにより、各クラブと会員一人ひとりがトーストマスターズの組織を形作ることに貢献できます。

投票は、① インターナショナル役員・理事の選挙、および ② トーストマスターズインターナショナルの規程改正案の決裁に対して行います。この貴重な機会をぜひ有効に活用してください。役員候補者のリストはこちらで確認できます＜https://www.toastmasters.org/about/board-of-directors/international-officer-and-director-candidates＞。

<< 投票権の委任手続き （8月11日締め切り・所要時間５分） >>

アクティブな状態のクラブは２票の投票権を持っており、その行使のためにクラブ会長 (President) または秘書役 (Secretary) が代理権保持者 (Proxyholder) を指定する必要があります。締め切りは 8/11(金) <MDT / UTC/GMT -6>、プロセスは次の通りです。

• クラブで話し合い、 次の３つの選択肢から投票を委任する Proxyholder を決めます。

  1. Designate a Club Delegate = 自クラブのアクティブ会員を指名（クラブ会長や秘書役が参加・投票する場合も必ず指名してください）

  2. Designate current District Director = ディストリクトディレクター（宮脇）を指名

  3. Designate an active Toastmaster = 他クラブのアクティブ会員を指名

• 会長または秘書役が  Toastmasters International のホームページ www.toastmasters.org にログイン、My Home をスクロールダウンして  Annual Business Meeting セクションにある “Club Proxy & Voting Instructions.” をクリック。次のページの Designate Proxyholder で登録を行います。  

• 登録の際、委任の範囲（投票内容を指定しない全権委任 Uninstructed Proxy または指定する委任 Instructed Proxy）を選択します。

• 代理権保持者（Proxyholder）は、8/12-15の間に信任手続き（Credential）を完了し、年次ビジネスミーティングに出席して、指定された票を投じる責任があります。

• 2022年はリモート参加者に対して、年次ビジネスミーティング前に24時間の事前投票時間が設けられましたが、2023年は米国の法的要件により事前投票はありません。Proxyholders は Annual Business Meeting に出席することが求められます。
