Today in kinder 2 @WoodvilleES we began exploring some unplugged coding! We read a story with lots of coding vocabulary, made a list of the important words, and used them to direct one another through an obstacle course.

Grade 1

Laurie Lautenschlager

Using non-standard units to measure lengths (E2.1)

We had a small sprite parade into position next to a larger sprite - again, on the second slide used bubble or voice recording to say "The whale is 4 fish long"

Kids had to make sure animals landed nose to tail

Today I applied @LCFaith Activated Learning to work through problem solving in @scratch with my grade 4s. We coded a problem together step by step and discussed problems as they came up and possible solutions. Great job Grade 4s! #tldsblearns

Coding days are my favourite days in @JDHodgsonES LS because I get to watch so many executive functions at play, but with a smile added in. Putting into play our learning of parallel events to code our own events today!

Today in @JDHodgsonES LS we combined our understanding of geometry and translations and @gkyfranzen remix code to code our own translations using scratch. Tomorrow we will look at rotations! #TLDSBcodes @tldsbmath

Back to coding our geometry lesson again today in @JDHodgsonES LS! Today is rotations. After putting lots of thought into the turns and angles we are starting to rotate our triangles around a single point @tldsbmath #TLDSBCodes
