A. Introduction
Atlantic Ocean in the east. Canada has 10 provinces and 3 territories. The climate is temperate. It has a population of 31 million with diverse ethnic groups. It has a stable society and is economically stable with advanced technology. English is mainly spoken and French is spoken only in the Quebec province. It has freedom of religion and speech, with 46% Roman Catholics, 36% Protestants, and 12% non-denominations.
B. The Establishment and Development of the True Jesus Church
Between 1976-1977, students and immigrants from Malaysia, Hong Kong, Brunei, and Singapore started family services. Recently, new immigrants (mostly from China) and newly baptized members have steadily grown.
Toronto Church was established in 1979. In 1984, a chapel was bought and the church was dedicated in the same year. Later in 1993, another chapel was purchased to replace the former, and dedicated to the Lord in 1996.
Vancouver Church was first registered in 1986 and family services were held. In 1994, a chapel was bought and was dedicated in July.
Edmonton Church began services in 1990. With the help of the congregation, a member’s basement was renovated and became a house of prayer. In early 1999, a chapel was bought and renovated for church services.
The House of Prayer in Calgary started in 1994. The church dedication of the new church building was in 2013.
House of Prayer in Montreal was established in 1992, and Kitchener/Waterloo was established in 1995 with church dedication in 1996.
C. Matters to take note when visiting churches
Visitors from a few countries and Commonwealth countries do not require visas to visit Canada. Other than Vancouver the climate is very cold during winter in Canada, so visitors should bring suitable warm clothing.
