B. The development of the True Jesus Church
Suda Seiki (Salvation Army from Tainan Church) and Uwai Otsukuma (Salvation army from Yilan) were both Japanese who lived in Taiwan. They came to believe in the truth in November 1927. Since then, there were Japanese believers who converted to the truth in Taiwan. In 1941, Pastor Murai and Uwai from the Holy Bible Church in Japan came to Taiwan to get baptized. They baptized their believers after returning to Japan. Not long after that, pastor Murata from the Pentecostal Church came to Taiwan to receive baptism. The War ended in August 1945, so the Japanese members who had lived in Taiwan had to return to Japan. Murata established the Summer Bible Seminar in August in Karuizawa. In September of the same year, churches were established in Nanjō and Kamitaira. Several prayer houses were also established around Japan. The workers would travel around and pastor the churches. In 1953, the United Church of Christ in Japan was established. They appointed four preachers who had to pay their expenses for their ministry. The Taiwan GA sent two preachers, John Yang, and Cong-Dao Lin, to assist them with publishing the Spiritual Food Monthly and different pamphlet booklets in July 1961. In 2011, the Japan Coordination Board (Japan CB) was founded. There are currently five churches and one prayer house with a total number of 1,065 members in Japan.
