28/6/24
Today we have had our annual sports day - thank-you to Mr Wisbey, who has organised the event and to all of the adults in school who helped the children to have a lovely day. It was amazing to see so many families at both events! Well done to the family members who took part in the final race of the day! It was lovely to see how proud you were of your stickers!
Next week sees the start of the secondary transition days for our Year 6 children. This year this have been spread over a 2 weeks - we hope that all of our Year 6 children enjoy their visits! Our transition events for children in Reception - Year 5 will take place during the afternoons of the 9th and 10th June. Children will have time to get to know their new class teacher and visit their classroom in preparation for September.
In September we are looking to hold a careers week. This is so can make the link between learning and future careers; it will also allow us to share the many different options avaliable to them. If you would like to talk to a group of children or deliver a workshop about your job, please get in touch with Mrs Worsfold so that she can schedule events across the school.
Tomorrow, Mr Holloway will be taking on the personal challenge of running 25km up Snowdonia in Wales.
He will be running in aid of Young Minds, a charity that raises awareness and supports children's mental health.
We wish him the best of luck tomorrow. He will certainly deserve Tommy the Tortoise on Monday for perseverance and resilience!
If you wish to support him, please see the link below where you can donate to the great cause.

This week both Year 1 classes have been to visit Houghton Regis Library. The children thoroughly enjoyed sharing stories together and taking part in craft activities.
Houghton Regis Library has many activities planned over the summer holidays as well as the reading challenge. Last year we won the summer reading challenge cup - it would be lovely to do this again!
