We have had a fabulous last week of term with so many exciting things taking place.
A group of Year 5 children have been completing their cycling proficiency this week. Each day they have been out on their bikes learning how to be safe of the roads. They have followed the Tithe Farm Way and listened carefully to their instructor. We hope that they will take these new skills with them when they are out and about on their bikes.
On Tuesday Year 3, who have been learning the Ukele this term, performed for the school. It was lovely to see how confident the children were playing and singing in front of an audience. As well as this, we held our annual Public Speaking Final. The children who spoke, demonstrated amazing intelligent talking skills; speaking clearly, at an appropriate pace and with intontation and expression. This made the judges job incredibly difficult! Our winner was Mikhail from Y5. He spoke about how amazing turtles are. The audience were captivated by his speech!
Opal class delivered a brilliant assembly on Thursday, sharing their learning this half term. Special thanks to Mrs O'Connell for preparing this with the children. We were so pleased to see so many families come to support their children - it makes a huge difference to the children when they spot someone from their family in the audience.
We would like to wish all of our families a restful Easter holiday - let's hope that the sun shines! School starts again on Tuesday 14th April - we will be looking forward to welcoming everyone back for a summer of learning.
At the end of this half term we are saying goodbye to: Miss Conway, Mrs McParland and Mrs Ryan. We would like to thank them for all that they have done for Tithe Farm over the many years that they have worked here. We will miss them very much but wish them all the best for their new adventures!
When we come back after Easter, we will be welcoming Mrs Ghent (LSA) and Mr Bright (teacher). Mrs Ghent will be supporting our children in Key Stage 2 and Mr Bright will be covering PPA in Key Stage 2 during the summer term and then will become a class teacher from September. I am sure you will join me in welcoming them to Tithe Farm.
