The academic honesty section ensures your project is authentic and aligns with IB values of integrity and fairness. It records key meetings with your supervisor, tracks your progress, and verifies that your work is your own.
This section also provides evidence that your project is entirely your own. If you cannot prove this, your supervisor will not sign the form, and without their signature, the IB will not award a grade for your personal project.
Record at least 3 of your many meetings with your supervisor on Toddle (under the academic honesty section).
These meetings should be recorded:
At the start of the project: Discuss your initial ideas, goals, and project plan.
In the middle of the project: Provide updates on progress, challenges faced, and any changes made to the plan.
At the end of the project: Present your final product, summarize learnings, and gather feedback.
Goals, progress updates, challenges, solutions, and feedback.
Show the progress of your product.
Upload evidence such as photos, videos, or screenshots proving you’re working on the project.
1. Log into Toddle.
2. Navigate to your project and find the section under Academic Honesty.
3. For the first meeting, there is a tab at the bottom middle of the page called 'Add'. Click this. For the rest of the meetings, click on the tab on the top right hand of the page.
4. Write summaries of the discussions, including key points and actions.
You must demonstrate the progress of your product to your supervisor, providing clear evidence that it has been authentically created by you.
Failing to prove ownership of your work or committing plagiarism (using AI) can have serious consequences. Your supervisor may refuse to sign your academic honesty form, which is required for your grade to be accepted by the IB. Without this form, the IB will not recognize your work, and you risk failing the course.
