This is an independent research project where you can showcase the knowledge and skills you’ve gained during the five years of the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP).
The project is entirely your own initiative and should reflect your personal experience in the MYP.
You will explore, research, and take action to achieve a goal that you design yourself. This is your chance to dive deeply into a topic you’re passionate about while applying what you’ve learned.
(Driven by the International Baccalaureate philosophy).
● Establish goals, an action plan, and success criteria (Criterion A)
● Apply ATL skills throughout the project process (Criterion B)
● Gather evidence of how you have applied ATL skills throughout your personal project (Criterion B)
● ِِEvaluate your project based on the success criteria (Criteria C)
● Reflect on the impact of the project (Criteria C)
● Select evidence to add to the report (Criteria A, B, C)
● Write a report.
There are three objectives that are assessed and must be completed. You must address all strands of all three objectives to successfully complete the MYP personal project.
The Objectives of the Personal Project
The objectives of the Personal Project guide you through four key dimensions:

Planning
Applying

You will:

State an intended product and develop appropriate success criteria for the product
Present a clear, detailed plan for achieving the product and its associated success criteria
You will:
Explain how the ATL skill(s) was/were applied to help achieve their learning goal
Explain how the ATL skill(s) was/were applied to help achieve their product
Support the explanations with detailed examples or evidence.
You will:
