Be aware of your environment. Keep your eyes looking forward as you walk, don’t get distracted by text messaging or extended cell phone conversations.
Request a free CSO escort. Available to all students, faculty, staff or visitors 365 days a year from dusk until 1 a.m. between campus buildings, local living areas and Westwood Village. Call (310) 794-WALK 15 minutes before you want to leave your location.
Consider using the Evening Van Service (310-825-9800). Round-trip route includes 26 pre-designated pick-up and drop-off spots in the area. The vans run approximately every 15 minutes during the evening until 11pm daily.
Do not leave your property unattended. Theft is a crime of opportunity and the most common crime reported to UCLA PD. Check the UCPD website for more information on protecting your belongings and other crime prevention tips.
