Wondering how you will contact your students? Rosters with contact information with your students will be available online as soon as students register for your class. This information can be found online under the MyUCLA website.

Class Rosters/Photo Rosters
Emailing Students
You may remember creating your UCLA Login. This login will be used primarily for your MyUCLA account. MyUCLA is your all-purpose site managing your courses including submitting grades, viewing class photo rosters, finding student ID numbers, emailing your students, and each quarter of courses which you are teaching. You will also find the times, days and rooms for your course here.
Login at http://www.my.ucla.edu
Click the blue “login” button on the top right of the page. (You must have a UCLA login to access MyUCLA - see "Create Your Accounts".)
Once you have logged in, you will see a list of courses that you are teaching for the current quarter. You are able to access past and future quarters through the dropdown menu.
Once logged into MyUCLA, click on the "Roster" link for a specific course.
This display will show you the time and location of your class, as well as the roster of students, which includes names, Student ID numbers, their major of study, and student standing. You will know if they are currently enrolled by the "E" under the Status column. If it shows as "D", then there were enrolled but have dropped the course. You can also download your roster as a separate file by using the links on the right near the top.
Faculty should print rosters for the first day of class and verify that all students attending the class are actually enrolled. Do not allow students who are not enrolled to attend class. All students must be enrolled by the end of the second week of classes. They may enroll by the end of the third week with a fine.
A photo roster is also available and will include the student's picture from their Bruin ID. If you have a larger class, this is a valuable tool to use in identfying your students in class.
Choose “Roster” under the specific course.
Once the page with the student names appears, you may download the Photo Roster as a pdf through the links on the right near the top of the page.
MyUCLA features a tool to email individual students or the entire class.
On MyUCLA, click on “Email” under the specific course, and you will be able to send an email to the entire class. If you have a TA, you will also be able to include the TAs on the email.
Not seeing any students on your roster?
Some courses require students to register with a PTE or by "Consent of Instructor". See the next section on "Enrollment".
