Course Description

AP Drawing is a college-level studio course for students ready to develop a focused body of artwork. Students explore drawing broadly through line, mark-making, value, surface, composition, depth, materials, and personal ideas. The year centers on an individual Sustained Investigation and preparation of the AP portfolio.

Learning Objectives

• Develop a meaningful inquiry for sustained artistic investigation.

• Demonstrate drawing skills through purposeful use of materials and techniques.

• Experiment, revise, and document artistic thinking.

• Use critique and feedback to improve work.
