Course Description

AP 3-D Art and Design is a college-level studio course focused on form, space, structure, surface, and material relationships. Students may work in sculpture, ceramics, assemblage, installation, functional design, or other three-dimensional processes while developing an individual Sustained Investigation.

Learning Objectives

·   Develop an inquiry for sustained 3D investigation.

·   Use form, space, structure, surface, and materials intentionally.

·   Experiment, prototype, revise, and document processes.

·   Solve structural and material problems.

·   Photograph three-dimensional artwork clearly.

·   Complete a strong AP 3-D Art and Design portfolio.
