7th Social Studies

I am Mrs. Christine Berckart. I am in my 5th year of teaching and my 2nd year teaching at LAFO. I grew up in Tampa, Florida and moved to Texas 8 years ago. I have 2 sons who are 13 and 6. I not only love teaching, but I also love Social Studies! My goal is to grow my students knowledge and understanding so that they can be effective citizens of the future.

My name is Roger P Breaux Jr. I’m from Plaquemine, Louisiana, currently residing in Plano, TX. I earned my bachelors degree from Grambling State University in 2002 in business management. I earned my masters degree from the University of Phoenix in 2010 in business administration (MBA). I’m the youngest of three children. Married (Casey)father of four children(Tamia, Brytani, Matthew,Aubrey).

Hi! My name is Miss Richardson and I am thrilled to be teaching 7th grade Texas History.I am a native of Tallulah, Louisiana. I am the second oldest of three. I am a loud and proud alumna of THE Illustrious Grambling State University. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice in December 2017. I’ve always had it in my heart to be an educator. After relocating to Texas, I enrolled in an alternative program to obtain my teaching certifications. Before becoming a full-time teacher at LAFO, I was a Preschool Teacher and a Teacher Assistant. In my spare time, I enjoy shopping, eating at new restaurants, and spending time with my Shih Tzu. I believe in student individuality and the unique paths of learning for students’ individual needs. I can’t wait to spend this school year learning and growing with my scholars.

"Hi, my name is KaLeia Barrett. I graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a bachelor’s degree in History and a minor in business administration. While attending UTA I also obtain a secondary social studies certification. I am also an alumnus of Southwest High School located here in Fort Worth Texas. I lived in Fort Worth my entire life but have managed to travel to six states. At moments I can alternate between an introverted and extroverted personality. I love studying Ancient and African American history. I have a passion for giving back to my community and educating the youth."
