6th Social Studies

"I am Mr. Goodwin, I was born in Anaheim, California where I started playing hockey at the age of 8. From there hockey gave me the opportunity to travel, and get a better education. Hockey took me to Connecticut, where I attended high school and college. I graduated from Trinity College in Hartford with a Degree in History and Political Science and eventually, ended up in Texas for Graduate school at the University of Texas at Arlington where I received my Master’s degree in History. I am certified to teach Social Studies 4-8.

I currently live in Cleburne Texas with my wife, son, and three dogs. My wife is an amazing seamstress, an excellent cook, and my rock. My son is intelligent, passionate about people and animals, and inquisitive.

I have been a classroom teacher for over 15 years. I have been married for 26 years and we have one wonderful daughter. This will be my 2nd year teaching World Cultures and Geography

I am from Covington Louisiana. My teacher certification is in Social Studies 4-8 Composite, and I'm entering my 2nd year at LAFO. and 4th year overall as a teacher. I received a BS in Psychology from Southwestern Adventist University in 2007. My wife Jasmin and I have 3 boys ages 6, 5, and 2

I was born in Redwood City, California and raised in Fort Worth, TX. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in History from Texas Wesleyan University, and my Master of Education in Guidance and Counseling degree from Angelo State University. I have worked in the district for 8 years. This year, I will be teaching 6th grade Social Studies.

I am a product of FWISD, and it is a privilege to work in the district. My goal for our students is to inspire a zest for knowledge that takes them to places they never knew existed. I look forward to serving our students, parents and community.
