Hi LAFO 6TH grade! My name is Asia Mears and I am overjoyed to start my teaching career as a sixth-grade science teacher at Forest Oak Middle school. I grew up in Frisco and Denton, Texas. I moved to Fort Worth in 2018 after graduating college and I am proud to call this city home. Before becoming a teacher, I was a crisis interventionist for MHMR Tarrant working in mental health. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Texas at Arlington. I love to travel, explore coffee shops, and spend time with family, friends, and my small group from church. I am a firm believer of spreading kindness and the end of all education should surely be to service others.
