iPadOS is the special software that helps an iPad work. It lets the screen be touched to open apps, play games, draw pictures, and watch educational videos. iPadOS makes it easy to move things around, use more than one app at once, and type with a keyboard. Some iPads may be using a different iPadOS version from iPadOS 13 to iPadOS 18 and may have different features and settings.

To determine the iPadOS version on an iPad:

Tap "General".

Tap "About".

Find "iPadOS Version". This iPad is using iPadOS Version 18.5. This means it is running iPadOS Version 18.
