To change the settings for the Home Button on an iPad in iPadOS 18:

Use the Home Button menu items to change the speed that is needed to double or triple-click the Home Button and choose if Siri will turn on when the Home Button is held down.

With a customized Home Button, students in the TDSB can:
open learning tools fast. The Home Button can be set to turn on helpful tools like VoiceOver, Zoom, or Guided Access with three quick presses.
adjust the speed for pressing the Home Button. Change the speed needed to double or triple-click the Home Button in order to turn on settings and features.
stay focused in one app. The Home Button can be set to turn on Guided Access when it is triple-clicked.
quickly switch between apps. When the Home Button is double-clicked, all opened apps will be shown on the screen in order to choose which one to use.
access the Home Screen. Press the Home Button once to quickly return to the Home Screen to choose another learning app.
