As part of the Board's waste disposal agreement with the City of Toronto, all schools on city garbage collection are now required to participate in the Green Bin Program. To help support schools' efforts to sort and manage their waste and recycling, EcoSchools offers a rebate program for recycling and green bins. Schools can receive a 50% rebate per school year, depending on their student population:

• 0-500 = up to $75 maximum

• 501-1200 = up to $100 maximum

• 1201+ = up to $150 maximum
