Brock PS Library

A Note from Ms. Kondo

***This site is updated for the 2022-2023 School Year***

Welcome to Brock's Library website- a place to learn about what's happening in the library as well as find great resources.

Please read the Fall 2022 K-8 Letter for information about the library program and FAQs.

Here is what we will be continuing this year:

  • creating a safe space for all students to feel comfortable, be supported, and have fun

  • fostering a love of reading and excitement about books and authors ***

  • learning how to incorporate technology in new, modified, and redesigned ways with a focus on digital citizenship

  • a MakerSpace with fun STEM challenges (cup stacking, LEGO, various centres, and more)

  • providing coding opportunities for as many grades as possible

  • continuing with the amazing Forest of Reading Program- we love it so much!

  • celebrating and loving our awesome Canadian authors and illustrators on I Read Canadian Day (and every day)

*** Brock's Library supports student CHOICE in reading for ALL STUDENTS from kindergarten to grade 8. What does this mean? When students come to the library, they are encouraged to read books that they want to read (that are age appropriate). This is the BEST way to foster a love of reading that will benefit them in all other aspects of their lives. Head over to our Read What You Like page to learn more!
