The world’s first cat café named “Cat Flower Garden” owned by Tracy Chang originated in 1998 in Taipei, Taiwan. “Cat Flower Garden” is located near Zhishan Station in the Shilin District of town with twenty being the most cats they’ve ever had. The idea originated from Chang’s family’s love for cats. Chang’s family would rescue stray cats; however, her mother was furious about the idea which led her family to the idea of opening a cat café.
