Concurrent Enrollment allows students to earn Central Wyoming College (CWC) credit while also earning high school credit. For most Concurrent Enrollment classes, enrollment in the JHHS course fulfills CWC prerequisites - however, some classes have require a placement test. Students can work with their School Counselor to fulfill any requirements. Due to staffing and enrollment requirements, these classes are selected during the first two weeks of the semester.
Classes may give students the opportunity to lighten their college load, and save future tuition money. Students should be aware that public colleges and universities generally accept CWC credit, while private institutions generally do not. Students are responsible for negotiating transfer credits with the college they eventually attend. Please note, students must request official transcripts directly from CWC. The grade earned will impact the student’s college grade point average (GPA), and college financial aid eligibility. If a registered student decides to drop a class, they must be officially withdrawn through the CWC office.
