Bring your iPad and prepare for an interactive, hands-on session that will get students sharing and showing what they've learned, and how to apply it. You'll leave with resources for your classroom.

What is a QR Code?
A quick response code is a digital image that can be scanned without the beam of light needed to scan barcodes at the grocery store. Change up your routine with a QR code. There are several ways to use a QR Code in your classroom:
1. Take Students Directly to a Designated Website
2. Post artwork with a QR Code that will take them to a site with more information.
3. Create activities for student engagement.
4. Place QR codes in different parts of your classroom or school building.
The whole class is researching Animals. All students draw their animal. Place them in the hallway. Attach a QR code so parents can access their information.
Doodle Buddy
Doodle Buddy Draw for iPad is my favorite app because of its flexibility, user-friendly interface, and multipurpose use across all content areas. From being creative to simply writing prompts, every user can have fun, get engaged, and learn.
**Teachers need to know that Doodle Buddy is a free drawing app, but it comes with ads. You can disable the ads by making a $5.99 in-app purchase. The app also entices kids to download other apps so as to earn "Doodle Bucks" to use within the game. Teachers can turn off the ability to download other apps from within the "Settings" section of your iPad.
Activity: Drawing Conclusions
Use the Paint Tool for this activity. You can change the type of paint tool: paint, chalk, glitter and smudge. The eraser and brush size is also located under the Paint Tool. Color tool will also help you complete this activity.
1. Listen to the sentence and draw your conclusion.
2. Take a screenshot
