Flippity Learning Tools
What is Flippity?
Flippity is a website that works with Google Sheets that allows teachers or anyone for that matter to use 27 tools which can be used to build activities and assignments for the classroom. Students could also use Flippity.net to create their own projects. All for FREE!
How does Flippity work?
Since Flippity.net works with Google Sheets, a Google account will be needed. If your school has G Suite for Education, you'll already have this setup and signed in.
Each tool will have two options to help you use the tool: Demo and Instructions. Templates can be found in the Instructions section.
Tournament Bracket
March Madness for college basketball is widely known for tournament brackets. Flippity has you covered with the Tournament Bracket. You can use 4 to 64 competitors. Byes will automatically be added to fill up the 4, 8, 16, 32 or 64 bracket. Have a bracket face-off with poets, music, books, pets, animals, historical people or events. Example Link

Quiz Show
Looking for a Jeopardy-style quiz display? Flippity has an easy-to-follow template that includes six categories (columns). Eight players or teams can play - just press the + sign to add more than the four that are displayed by default. Setting up the quiz show does take a bit of time, so plan out your categories, questions, and answers ahead of time. Then just copy and paste into the template. SAVE the link.
A word of warning: Do not edit any cell with a blue background. Do not delete rows or columns.
Matching Game
Flippity Matching Game is your concentration game or sometimes called Memory. You will need to use the template and don't forget to change the name of the sheet and then publish to the web. Share the link.
Additional cool things: words will be spoken aloud, number the cards, and there is a timer. I wish you could stop the time.
Bonus: FAQ's say you can add EquatIO, Desmos and audio recordings. Sweet!
Fun with Fonts
Flippity has 21 types of fonts to choose from. Just type in your words and with a click of a button - the transformation starts. The hardest part is choosing which font to use. You can separate with commas or line breaks.
Fonts include: Nature. ASL. Braille. Blocks. Hieroglyphics. Highway. Keyboard. LED. Lego. License Plates. Neon. Periodic Table. Sand. Scrabble. Signs. Vide Game. 3D. Dwarvish. Elvish. Futurama. Star Wars.
Randomizer
The Randomizer lets you generate multiple lists in a spinner. You may use up to 10 columns. Remember do not edit any cell with a blue background. Be great for a story scrambler.
Hangman Style Game
Hangman-style games can be created with your own word lists. Snowman allows six guesses. Flower Power allows seven guesses. Bomb Squad with eight guesses and Apple Picking has nine guesses.
