John Hattie's extensive research into what works best in education is something that all educators should be familiar with. This session will provide an introduction to what his research found and how best to implement it in the classroom.

LEGO has changed its programming software for the EV3 robot. The new programming language is now called the EV3 Classroom App. This session will give you a first look at the new programming software. We will also look at the scratch-based programming blocks.
Find out the new Google Sites bells and whistles. Prerequisite for the session is a basic knowledge of creating a Google Site.
High Impact Strategies: Mnemonics
Mnemonics is any learning technique that aids information retention. Mnemonics translates information into a form that the human brain can retain easier. This can be lists, sounds, images, or even gestures. According to John Hattie, mnemonics has an effect size of .80. Join me in this session as we find ways to use mnemonics in the classroom.
