Discussion:
Learn about the TCAPS Indigenous Education Program! Who we are and what we do.
Payton and her cheer team won State and are traveling to Nationals in Kentucky in July!
All of us here are rooting you on!
Congratulations Tayen on qualifying for the State competition in the band and orchestra vibraphone solo and ensembles to be held in March!
We are cheering you on!
Congratulations Evi for recently being selected as student of the week, representing at Model UN with the Highest Honors Crisis Committee, and being highlighted in your school's STEM community!
Phenomenal!
Congratulations to Jensen and Arleena for being featured as Cougar Character Artists.
A student recently downloaded a language app and looked through the languages offered. She looked to see if the app had Anishinaabemowin and was disappointed it wasn't offered. She shared the story with our liaison at her school and others. The group of students then took their concerns to paper (actually, a Google doc) and wrote a letter to the language app about why they should include Anishinaabemowin.
We are proud of you for noticing the lack of diverse resources offered and taking action. We celebrate your leadership and action!
Also, at Courtade, students submitted their art to the National Office of Indian Education Student Artist Competition. The competition theme is "My Native Language". We wish you and others who submit the best of luck and thank you for taking the time to create art to submit. We are proud of you!
