Week of 8/4 - 8/8 Marine Adventures 🪼🐳
Hello ECE Families,
What an incredible summer its been! We've had such a wonderful camp season filled with learning, laughter and lots of fun. Over the past 8 weeks, the children have explored exciting themes, created amazing projects and participated in interactive visits from special guests.
This week, we wrapped up with some under the sea magic, when Captain Carl stopped by with his ocean animal friends. We met some crabs, sea snails, sea urchins, a giant lobster, and a baby shark named Fin! In addition to meeting and holding the sea life, Captain Carl shared some interesting facts about each one. Did you know that if a crab loses its claw, it can grow back? It's called regeneration. How cool is that?
Miss Melo stopped by for one last camp musical singalong. We sang ocean themed songs like "Under the Sea", "Baby Shark", and "Down by the Bay' just to name a few. The campers loved leaping like dolphins, crawling like sea turtles, and wiggling like octopi as Melo played songs on her guitar.
Each class celebrated the last day of camp in their own way. Some had ice cream parties, some had bubble parties, and some got creative with some face paint! However your camper spent their last day of camp, it was definitely special and the perfect way to close out an amazing summer. Check it0111 all out on your classrooms Google Photo Album before they are taken down.
Next week is Mini Camp Mon 8/11 - Thurs 8/14 with no camp on Fri 8/15. The following week is Staff Development Week with no childcare all week. School resumes on Tuesday 8/26! We can't wait to kick off the 2025/'26 school year in just a few weeks!

A FEW THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND:
ALWAYS use the blue crosswalk in the parking lot when crossing and avoid walking behind cars (please review the Parking Lot Safety Reminder below and on the Playground App)
Campers should come ready for the day with sunscreen applied before. This should not be happening in the classroom at drop off. Teachers will reapply throughout the day
PLEASE HELP OUR SECURITY AND STAFF WITH SAFETY IN THE PARKING LOT

July 14 - July 25
Step into the spotlight! Campers will enjoy engaging in imaginative play with performance activities, where they can express themselves and shine like the stars they are. We’ll strut down the red carpet, experiencing the thrill of being a movie star, hold an awards ceremony, and sing some old movie favorite songs.
Drop Off and Pick Up Schedule
Below are our Drop off and Pick Up times.
Early Care 8:00-8:20 Mechina, and 8:00 - 8:40 Nursery
Late Care 3:15- 4:50 $5per minute after 5pm
It is extremely important that you sign your child in and out on the Playground App at drop off and pick up. The staff uses the Playground App to track Early and Late Care and to make sure you get charged appropriately. If you forget to sign your child out, you will be charged $15 for that day.
Early Care drop off and Late Care pickup will be on the Large Yard.
Drop-Off/Pick Up Schedule:
Mechina Hours 8:30am - 2:30pm
Drop off 8:30 - 8:40 (Late after 8:40am) - Drop off in Classroom
Pick up 2:30 - 2:40 (Late after 2:40pm) - Carline
Nursery Hours 8:50 - 11:50/2:50
Drop off 8:50 - 8:55 (Late after 9:00am)- Drop off in Classroom
Pick up 11:50 - 11:55 (Late after 12pm) & 2:50 - 2:55pm (Late after 3:00pm) - Carline
Rm’s 1, 2, 16: Left side of parking lot In front of large and small yard
Rm’s 4, 5, 13, 14, 15: Right side of the parking lot in front of the lobby

Communications to ece@tbhla.org come to the office team, and follow-up may be required. Please use the ECE email (not just karla@tbhla.org, or just the teachers) so that the whole office team can assist with the information.
