Welcome to Room 1
Shemesh
Hello Wonderful Shemesh families,
What a fun week in Shemesh. This week we met our specialist teachers. We had Hebrew with Teacher Michal, and Music with Ms. Melo.
In our class we have been busy working on two group projects. We did some sponge painting and we tore pieces of paper to glue on top to add texture. For our second project we did a mixture of painting with our hands and brushes to create a tree trunk. Our kiddos enjoyed taking turns using a glue stick to add texture to our green tree. We read Sammy Spider’s First Rosh Hashanah and during circle time we sang Apples dipped in Honey and practiced saying shanah tovah! On Friday we celebrated Shabbat and enjoyed our yummy challah and grape juice.
Shabbat Shalom,
Teacher Gina and Teacher Paola

Shabbat Sign Up List (Please contact me to make any changes)
To make your child's day special, we will read your child's favorite book and make a birthday crown! Your child may even get a special leadership opportunity. As Shabbat takes precedence, we will not celebrate birthdays on Fridays. Please email me to determine the appropriate birthday plan and possible treat item. Non-food items are great to send home (ex. stickers, box of crayons, donate books to the classroom), any food item would need to be individually wrapped. Be sure to ask me if anyone in the class has a food allergy. We ask that you NOT cubby birthday party invitations or birthday party thank you notes.
