My first Inquiry of they year well. I think this was because I was trying to get as good of a mark as I did last year. I did feel like I had been pressuring myself too much this inquiry, so I'll try to lay it off next inquiry.
The Career Inquiry was really useful as it made me aware of the struggles of being a pilot and also how rewarding it was, along with how I can research about a potential career.
How do I feel about my second year of Inquiry now that I’ve spent 4 weeks in it? Well I have to say it was nice and I'm really enjoying coming to school and doing my inquiries. I do feel a bit more challenged than I did in year 9, though.
It was a different start for me this year because we waited almost a term to get into a new inquiry, so I had to brush up on my inquiries again after a 5 month or so long break.
One of my goals was to close my laptop when the teacher was talking. By working on this goal it helped me to improve my learning because it taught me that there is good information, even when some of the things don't really apply to me.
The goal I did the best with was involving my parents with my inquiry. the reason it went so well was because my mum marked my presentation and looked over my report before submitting it.
I was a bit frustrated with how one goal went because I didn't close my laptop as much as I felt I should, but I did better than I was in Year 9.
Next time I will close my laptop all the time. this will help me because there is important information that I need to succeed.
Evidence of Term 1 goals being met.
Copy and paste all relevant evidence in the form of screenshots or written explanations of what was done to achieve your 4 goals for Term 1.
e.g. Test results, teacher feedback, parent feedback, peer feedback, your own explantion of things you did etc.
My mum says she saw me doing my Inquiry at home, even when I was sick and off school.
Davide and Lewis noticed that I was closing my laptop more than I did in year 9.
I had a talk with my cousellor for me to stop comparing myself to others. it worked.
I involved my mum in my inquiry and she helped me do my report.
