Karakia : We do our karakia before we start or do anything in Waka Ama! We are also learning to sing the hīmēnē verison - refer to below.
On this day, we all wrapped up warm. It was a cold day but the Taupō te moana was flat and smooth. A great day for a paddle!
Safety is the priority before we leave the shores of Lake Taupō. Whaea Steph and Matua Hone are the Rangatira that support, uplift and maintain the safety of our tamriki and mokopuna in/near the Wai. We are proud and grateful to them both!
Whaea Reina is trying hard to learn to steer a waka from Whaea Steph and our tauira, Frankie. She needs to attend more trainings after kūra. Whaea Rita is the best power house paddler. Number 3, 4 - middle is her jam!!! Thank you Whaea Rita for all your help and support. We appreciate you!!
