If kindness is sown then kindness you shall receive.
In this class the have learnt about service and event management. They have worked collaboratively to organise run and a fundraising event (Market) and collect donations to gift to children in need. This class has shown great resilience and perseverance. Many of them have reached out to local businesses, made professional phone calls and sent emails asking for sponsorship and particpation in our market. They have connected with vendors, drawn maps, planned crowd control and logistics, developed marketing, wrapped presents, set up chairs and gazebos, run stalls, managed finances and ultimately supported worthy groups.
The Meri Market class raised over $1200 for the 2025 international trips and put together 52 Christmas shoeboxes which they then gifted to the Taupo Women's Refuge.
This beautiful letter was written by Navaeh Brown, one of of Meri Market students. 52 copies were printed and the students decorated each copy with festive art. These were then put in each of the Christmas boxes which were delived to Taupo Women's Refuge.
