Tauhei Wild Game Hunt
Our biggest annual event is the Tauhei Wild Game Hunt, held every May. Competitors from all over the North Island compete in our competition for the opportunity to win great prizes. The Wild Game Hunt serves four main purposes: to experience nature as a participant; to feel an intimate connection to place; to take responsibility for one's food; and to acknowledge our kinship with wildlife.
