The education world is changing rapidly. Schools face an emerging cluster of new ideas, beliefs, knowledge, theories, and practices related to 21st century learning or future learning. In response, many have created future focused visions that redefine learning, the learner, and the teacher. Graduate profiles are one way that a school can communicate a shared understanding of what a future-oriented learner looks like. Graduate profiles describe skills, knowledge, and attitudes that students will need to develop in order to participate in a range of life contexts beyond school.
The Tauhei Graduate Profile explores what a Tauhei Learner will experience and learn during their time in Team Tauhei, recognising the learning journey from Welcome Mat to Farewell Handshake.
We report to parents 4 times a year on student academic/social progress and their next steps for success. We set learning goals alongside parents to ensure a shared vision of success for all students. We strive to communicating clear, dependable information about progress and achievement to build a strong partnership between the child, the teacher, and the child's parents, family, and whānau to support learning and improve student outcomes.
