You will learn how to complete flight plans and increase your piloting skills to the level of a private pilot. After this semester, you will not be a student pilot anymore! You will learn how to feel confident operating as the PIC.
MUST DO:
By the end of this lab you will be taking your Private Pilot License Checkride.
This test is similar to a stage check in format, but is administered by an FAA representative (DPE) instead of one of our check instructors.
In order to take this checkride, you will need to pass your Private Pilot Written Exam.
The written exam has the same content as the final exam of your private pilot ground school HOWEVER it is administered by the FAA and goes on your permanent pilot record.
You must be endorsed by your flight instructor in order to take this test. You can get endorsed by:
Taking 3 practice tests via Prepware or Sheppard Air and receiving a 90% or higher.
Take screenshots of these scores to show them as proof to your flight instructor.
Taking 1 practice test via Prepware or Sheppard Air and receiving a 90% or higher will being proctored by your flight instructor.
Once you have received your endorsement you will go to the records office on the second floor of hangar 1 and schedule a time and location for your official test with the Enrollment Service Specialist.
