Foggles are now required for your flight lab. You will wear these every time you fly to simulate being in Instrument Meteorological Conditions (IMC).
You will now be using your iPad every time that you fly. This may require you to purchase a kneeboard that is capable of holstering your iPad.
Foreflight or Garmin will now be one of your primary tools throughout this lab. This applications will allow you to flight plan with ease, brief approach charts, teck your flights, file flight plans, and more. The "TPP's" or Terminal Procedures Publication contain Instrument Approach Procedure charts (IAP), Departure Procedure charts (DP), Standard Terminal Arrival charts (STAR), CVFP and Airport Diagrams (AD). Also Included are Takeoff, Radar, amd Alternate Minima textual procedures.
IFR Enroute Low Altitude Charts provide aeronautical information for navigation under instrument flight rules below 18,000 fee MSL. Make sure you get the L-9 chart (Las Vegas area).
