As we move into the second term of the 2026 school year, we look forward to another exciting chapter of sport at Sun Valley. Term 1 set a wonderful foundation, with learners showing great enthusiasm, commitment, and sportsmanship across our summer codes. As the seasons change, we now turn our attention to the winter sports season, which brings with it new opportunities for growth, teamwork, and competition.

This term we are excited to begin our Term 2 Winter Sports programme, which includes Rugby, Netball, Hockey, and Soccer. Alongside these codes, learners can also participate in Cross Country, Squash, and Chess, offering a wide variety of opportunities for our students to stay active, challenge themselves, and develop new skills.

Our focus for Term 2 is on embracing the challenges of the winter codes, strengthening teamwork, building resilience, and showing commitment both on and off the field. We encourage all our learners to get involved, give their best, support their teammates, and proudly represent Sun Valley in every practice and match.

Together, we look forward to another memorable term of sport filled with growth, achievement, and enjoyment.

IT IS COMPULSORY TO PLAY A SPORT AT SUN VALLEY PRIMARY SCHOOL. 

There is no registration for SVPS School Sport. Your child should simply arrive at practice sessions, and the coach will register them at the first session. 

Tiers of Sports: 

Tier 1: Rugby, Netball, Hockey Boys' and Girls', Soccer Boys' and Girls', Cross-Country, Chess, Surfing and Squash

Tier 2: Firebirds

Tier 3: Outside Sports

Term 2 Sport runs from 8 April - 5 June.

Modified Exam Programme from 8 - 25 June.
