Firebirds Netball is proud to introduce Luzann Geldenhuys, a passionate and dedicated coach committed to helping young players build skill, grow confidence, and play with purpose. Luzann brings a strong blend of playing experience and coaching insight, creating an environment where players feel supported, motivated, and inspired to improve. Having played competitive club netball for six years as part of an undefeated league team, Luzann understands what it takes to perform consistently at a high level. Her individual achievements, including Club Player of the Year and Centre Court Player of the Year in 2023, reflect both her work ethic and deep understanding of the game. She has also competed at district-level tournaments, regularly finishing among the top teams, further strengthening her competitive experience. Luzann’s coaching journey includes working with U11 to U13 A and B teams, where she has focused on both individual skill development and overall team performance. Her three years of experience as a district coach have allowed her to work with talented players in competitive environments, helping them refine their abilities and elevate their game. Her coaching approach centres on strong fundamentals, improved game awareness, and confident decision-making. Through structured and engaging sessions, Luzann helps players develop their technical skills, understand positional play, and prepare effectively for school trials and matches. Her sessions are designed to challenge players while maintaining a positive and enjoyable atmosphere. Through Firebirds Academy, Luzann offers group and skills-based training sessions, with private coaching available on request. Each session provides players with the opportunity to grow, compete, and develop a deeper love for the game. Luzann’s mission is simple: to help every player build confidence, unlock their potential, and enjoy their netball journey to the fullest.
