TOUCH RUGBY RETURNS TO SUNVALLEY PRIMARY SCHOOL! 

Dates and times for our Firebirds Academy lessons:

Wednesdays:

Grade 2-7: 14:30 - 15:30

Cost:

R1 200 for Term 1

In addition, there will be an Inter-TRL-School competition on 13 March 2026 - cost covered in fees.

Payment options: 

• Cost will be discounted by R200 for parents who pay in full and upfront.

• If you choose to pay monthly instalments, your instalment would be R400 per month, also payable before the start of each month.

Overview of the sport from The Touch Lab:

Touch is a fast-growing, inclusive sport both here in South Africa and internationally. For the first time, the South African Touch Association (SATA) has introduced divisions for U11, and U13 boys and girls to participate in the national Interprovincial Tournament – creating a pathway for young players to enjoy competition in this fun, fast-paced, and highly skilful game. 

Unlike traditional rugby, Touch Rugby is low-contact, with no tackling involved, making it accessible to children of all shapes, sizes, and abilities. 

If your child is interested in continuing their Touch Rugby journey, I would encourage you to register for our Term 1 Touch Rugby program at the school or attend one of our upcoming clinics if you’re still undecided. To book your spot, simply email us at touchrugbylab@gmail.com, and we will share the registration form with you.

What to expect:

• ⁠10 weeks of Touch Rugby Coaching from Western Province and SA Touchbok players or coaches.

• Testing weeks at the beginning and end of term, showcasing player development over the 10 weeks.

• Touch Rugby Lab Inter-school matches (13 March).

• Development and feedback for upcoming Junior Western Province u11 and u13 IPT trials.
