Having played at a high level and worked alongside South African legends such as Jomo Sono and Nasief Morris, Damian offers valuable insight into the demands of elite football. His experience includes competing successfully at top levels, equipping him with the understanding needed to guide young players on their own journeys.

Damian has coached across various school environments, including early childhood development programmes, where he has focused on building strong foundations from a young age. His coaching style centres on enjoyment, confidence-building, and skill development, ensuring that players feel comfortable expressing themselves while steadily improving.

Firebirds Academy is also proud to partner with Right Foot Forward, a premier football development company committed to enhancing player performance and fostering a deep love for the game.

Led by Treswill Overmeyer, a former professional player, founder of Right Foot Forward, and a qualified SAFAD D Licence and UEFA C Licence coach, the programme brings a high-performance, modern approach to youth football development. With additional experience as a mentor and team chaplain, Treswill offers a holistic perspective that supports both athletic and personal growth.

Right Foot Forward is known for its commitment to excellence, delivering structured and personalised training programmes that focus on technical proficiency, tactical awareness, and mental resilience. Through this partnership, players gain access to both private coaching sessions and group training environments designed to accelerate development.
